EMBERS & FLAMES
Introducing
EMBERS & FLAMES is a burnout prevention & recovery framework designed to help eliminate the factors that contribute to burnout.
Our process identifies the key areas that cause burnout, then uses proven strategies to stop it in its tracks.
Burnout is a massive problem in our workplaces and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, meaning the strategies businesses are usesing AREN’T WORKING.
It’s too often treated as an individual’s problem to fix, but in reality, it’s also a social, environmental, and community issue.
EMBERS & FLAMES addresses these issues comprehensively:
EMBERS are what we do for ourselves - the non-work stuff.
While burnout is heavily attributed to our relationship with our work and environment, there is much we can do to protect ourselves and minimize the impact of those interpersonal and workplace stressors. These are gifts to yourself.
Ask yourself: Where are my strengths here? What areas need some attention?
FLAMES are what the workplace is responsible for.
If you find yourself in a position of influence, this is your checklist for making your workplace safer and healthier for those in it. If you’re not, this is a guide to better understand your workplace’s areas of growth, which you can use to advocate for changes within your organization.
Ask yourself: Which of these needs the most attention? What is something you can do today?
We can help you build EMBERS & FLAMES into your personal & professional life, as well as your workplace.
Our EMBERS & FLAMES coaching packages are structured and curriculum-based, available for individuals and groups. In these programs, we use our EMBERS & FLAMES Assessment to identify areas of strength and areas that need some attention, then build up areas that might need some extra support.
Coaching is available for individuals and organizations.

Our introductory training is for everyone! It details what burnout (really) is and what causes it, and it walks attendees through the EMBERS & FLAMES framework.
The EMBERS & FLAMES Foundations is 60 or 90 minutes and suitable for groups of up to 30 people.

The EMBERS & FLAMES Team training digs deeper into the EMBERS. This training is a facilitated workshop focusing on building the personal resources we need to protect ourselves from workplace toxicity while identifying what FLAMES might be missing from the work experience.
The EMBERS & FLAMES Team is 3 hours and suitable for groups of up to 30 people.
The EMBERS & FLAMES Leadership training is a facilitated, full-day training for managers and leaders. We thoroughly examine both EMBERS & FLAMES for attendees personally while identifying ways they can apply the FLAMES directly to the workplace, including coaching their teams.
The EMBERS & FLAMES Leadership is 6 hours and suitable for groups up to 15 people.
