Terms of Service

Nariba Shepherd, Bachelors of Science in Education, who majored in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration in Sexual Health and Relationships from the University of Vermont, is a transplant to Chicago from Trinidad and Tobago via Vermont and many other states along the East Coast. She is a recovering Chef and co-host of Terms of Service Podcast, bringing truth to life by discussing and fighting for change in the Food and Beverage Service Industry.

After graduating from UVM, and completing the Community Kitchen Course via the Chittenden Valley Food Bank in Burlington, VT and working in a test kitchen for Sodexo, she was encouraged to move out of state to really pursue her career. Landing in Chicago, she found herself sucked into the Fine Dining world of the Service Industry. After many years working in Michelin Starred kitchens, too many hours, substances and lost memories, anniversaries, birthdays and relationships... and Covid-19, she took some time to refocus and change some things that were no longer of use in the grand scheme of where she saw herself going.

By working for Healthy Pour, she is taking an opportunity to really be the change she wants to see within the industry she feels so connected to, and grateful for.
